Designing the Life You Want: Empowering Women Through Estate Planning, Investment and Wellness

On 28 March 2026, Stimulus Africa, in collaboration with V.S Nyangulu and Associates, Legal Practitioners and Conveyancers, hosted the inaugural Designing the Life You Want seminar—an initiative held in celebration of International Women Day. The event aimed at equipping women with the knowledge and tools to take intentional control of their futures through estate planning.

The seminar brought together a diverse and dynamic group of women for engaging, forward-looking conversations on estate planning, investment, and holistic wellness. It marked the beginning of what promises to be a transformative journey for the participants and reflecting a growing awareness among women of the importance of proactive life planning.

The strong turnout highlighted a clear demand for deeper, more meaningful conversations around long-term security and personal growth. Participants engaged actively—sharing experiences, asking thoughtful questions, and contributing to a collaborative and empowering environment where women felt encouraged to take ownership of their financial and personal well-being.

Speakers delivered insightful and thought-provoking presentations across a range of critical life and financial topics. These included Dr Leonard Makoni, a family counsellor and end-of-life coach, who presented on “Money Conversations,”offering practical strategies for engaging loved ones in meaningful discussions about finances. Mrs Rudo Nyangulu-Mungofa, Legal Practitioner and Managing Partner of V.S. Nyangulu & Associates, spoke on “Your Living Estate,”introducing the C.A.R.E. Framework as a tool for intentionally designing one’s life and legacy through estate planning.

The seminar also featured an investment panel comprising Mary Musariri, a local stock market investments expert; Tiffany Batezat, a financial advisor and international investments specialist; and Rudo Nyangulu-Mungofa, a property law expert. The panel provided a comprehensive overview of accessible investment opportunities within their area of practice, guiding participants on when and how different investment options may be most appropriate.

A central theme throughout the seminar was the importance of investing in oneself at every stage of life. Regardless of age or circumstance, making informed decisions about finances, health, and legacy remains essential. Estate planning—often delayed—was highlighted as a vital mechanism for protecting assets and ensuring that one’s wishes are clearly articulated and legally enforceable throughout the life cycle. Discussions on investment further reinforced the importance of building sustainable wealth and pursuing financial independence.

Beyond financial considerations, the seminar emphasised holistic wellness, recognising that true empowerment encompasses mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Participants were encouraged to prioritise self-development, continuously seek knowledge, and position themselves to thrive both personally and professionally.

The success of this inaugural event highlights the importance of creating intentional spaces where women can learn, connect, and grow. It reaffirmed that investing in oneself is not a luxury, but a necessity—one that yields lasting benefits for individuals, families, and communities.

Stimulus Africa looks forward to hosting future editions of the Designing the Life You Want seminar, including a dedicated Couples Edition aimed at helping partners align their resources and skills toward wealth creation, as they take intentional steps to build secure, fulfilling, and well-planned lives.
